Walk for Paws

Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union has participated in the "Walk for Paws" since 2005 raising over $3,405.30 for our furry friends!

"Our mission at the Chautauqua County Humane Society, SPCA, is to promote the adoption of animals, prevent all forms of animal cruelty & neglect, and shelter lost, abandoned and homeless animals, and to provide education about the humane treatment of animals."

How can you help GCFCU Raise money for our Furry Friends?

• Join Team Greater Chautuaqua!!! Walk with us and help us raise money by asking for donations from your friends and family.
  
  
• During the month of July, August and September:
  1. Participate in our Monthly 50/50 Raffles ~ all proceeds are added to our Walk for Paws campaign in the form of member donations!
  2. Purchase a delicious Niagara Candy Bar for only a $1.00 each and 50 cents will be added to the membership pledge.

2009 Walk for Paws!
This year, not only did we run our 50/50 drawings and sell chocolate, our staff came up with a great idea to have a pumpkin-carving contest! Employees all got together at each office and had a lot of fun carving their pumpkins and eating pizza! Once the pumpkins were carved, we placed them in the lobby with numbers. Then Members were asked to vote for their favorite in the form of a small donation!

On October 24th, Team Greater Chautauqua consisting of 15 members/employees and 7 dogs gathered at the Chautauqua Institution for a fun walk along beautiful Chautauqua Lake.
